Comprises of 4 deepening levels, each taking you into deeper meditation through the use of brainwave entrainment and synchronization and a 2500 year old technique. A 5th multilevel recording and our CD for releasing negative emotions. This is a complete set designed to prepare you mind for meditation, focus your mind on the technique and take you down to deeper levels of conscious awareness.

Our meditation techniques are base on the 2,500 year old Vipassana meditation method developed by the Historical Buddha Gotama. We also recommend the ten-day residential course offered at www.dhamma.org. These courses are provided free of charge and are covered by donations of previous course participants. The course is also non-sectarian.Whole Mind Strategies is not affiliated with the above organization in any way. Although any form of meditation is better than none at all, and all meditation will bring increased well-being to the person meditating, there is no substitute for the grounding that such a course can offer. The CD set was designed for those people who don’t have the time or inclination to take such a course, or for those who have taken such a course and want to improve the focus and depth of their meditations. Our aim is to compliment the historical vipassana techniques taught by the Buddha with modern technology through brain wave entrainment and synchronisation, to develop deeper more focused levels of meditation in a much shorter time frame.

The Buddha concluded 2500 years ago the physical body was made up of tiny particles that vibrate at different frequencies, and only over the past half century has science come to the intellectual understanding that this is true. The entire Universe is made up of subatomic particles that rapidly rise and pass away, in a constant state of change. Every year over 98% of all the atoms in the body have been exchanges. Every five days the lining of the stomach is replaced, the skin every month, after 3 years you would be hard pressed to find an atom that is a part of you now, which would still be considered yours, this happens with such rapidity that the body appears to change little, We identify with the whole, seeing not the microscopic but constant changes, you are not the person you were three years ago. As Dr Deepac Chopra said, your body is like a flame, constantly metabolising new material. The flammable matter and oxygen necessary for its combustion must be continually renewed. The smoke and gasses released are changing with every moment, and yet the flame appears to be changeless over time. > The process of creation, maintenance and dissolution are simultaneously at work in a flame, and in the body.

The Universe is in a constant state of change and being a part of the Universe so are we. Positive energy creates a roaring beacon of light, negative energy in like poring water onto the flame, we start to extinguish the very essence of who we are, we become like a candle at the whim of the winds, the winds of change. Only by embracing and accepting do we transmute the negative to the positive, from fear to love, and this can be done at the point between sensation arising in the body, and reaction to it. We have all heard the old saying, when you start to feel angry count to ten before responding. There is wisdom in this. Without reaction to sensations, the sensations are given no power to multiply, and therefore must start to disperse and we come out of suffering. Allowance and observation of sensations without reaction is the key to this meditation.

When we react to sensations through our thoughts and actions we multiply them. The seeds of these reactions are often subconscious beliefs established when we were young. When these seeds are planted in the fertile ground of reaction, they will grow to give fruit and from this fruit, further seeds of the same type are then planted increasing our suffering as they too come forth to bare fruit.

If we can be aware of these sensations without reaction to them, to just observe them with equanimity, the fertile ground for their growth is removed and they begin to whither and die.

Through concentrated meditation and practice we can learn to feel sensations arise and pass away in the body, when we observe without reaction, the sensation passes away and the fruit is eradicated. Just like when we stop eating and the body then uses up it stores of fuel, so the mind brings forth its stores of subconscious fruits in the way of sensations, and without reaction to them, we eradicate them one by one and come out of our conditioned suffering to find freedom and happiness.

The course is designed in levels that take the meditator deeper by lowering the frequencies for brain entrainment, and with lower carrier waves for each level. On occasion, some meditators using this type of product can feel periods of overwhelm or irritability, this also happens in meditation courses and therapy as the subconscious brings forth its fruits. This is a good thing so long as we recognise it for what it is and don’t react to it. These are opportunities for the greatest growth. We include a “releasing” CD in the pack that has no brainwave entrainment, to let go of these feelings should they arise. If these feelings arise it can often follow the most blissful of meditations and we suggest a few days using the releasing CD and returning to the meditation CD’s when the feelings resolve. Jumping to higher levels before you are ready and multiple listening in a single day can also cause this.

Headphones are required, and headphones that handle ultra low frequencies are best for deeper levels. Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Any meditating posture, sitting in a comfortable chair or just laying down will be fine. You may tend to fall asleep if lying down, until your mind becomes used to the input.

What to expect from meditation
Training the mind to spend time totally in the present, without jumping to the future or the past and reacting to it will soon bring a calm focus to your everyday life. This is a great benefit in relationships and work. Some state a feeling of increased wellbeing and purpose and a happier overall state of mind. In time and with practice you will feel some very blissful experiences when meditating. It is important not to develop a clinging to these experiences, whatever you are experiencing at the time is what you need to experience, don’t develop a clinging or aversion to any to any of the sensations, it will only hold you back. The path of meditation used for thousands of years is to develop the enlightened mind and come out of suffering, don’t develop a craving or expectation for this, it will only hold you back, but once you start down the path the benefits will propel you to continue.
