Psychotherapist. We
are being bombarded with new information at an unprecedented
level, in a world that is changing at a much faster pace than
ever before. This can create a feeling of overwhelm, frustration
and anxiety as we try to make sense of it all. We all need
certainty in our lives, but the fear of uncertainty created
through the rapid changes in global Information technology,
competition and the constant influence of the media and advertisers
take our certainty away. We are receiving more and more input
through the senses than ever before in history. We process
this information the same way as our parents did and their
parents did before them but we live in a different world to
theirs. We spend lots of money on our body in clothes and
haircuts, makeup, vitamins, pills, gym, massage etc. yet spend
next to nothing on developing our minds, with the exception
of vocational education, and we wonder why we have problems,
why happiness seems to elude us and we feel so alone at times.
The media
and advertisers are constantly creating fear in our lives.
You just have to watch the news or read a daily paper to see
that most of the information they use to grab our attention
is based on fear; it is the same with politics. Advertisements
are subtly telling us that we need their products to feel
happy. We live in a world running on fear, where instant gratification
for pleasure is replacing true happiness and the joy of living,
and we wonder why we suffer so much unhappiness in our lives.
We are over governed, and over regulated. We feel life is
over complicated and sometimes we feel overwhelmed. If we
have loving relationships in our lives this subtle external
control from authorities will have very little impact on us;
we go with the flow, but when our relationships with significant
others in our lives from children, parents and work colleagues
deteriorate, we suffer. This can often turn to anger or depression
as we internally rebel against the external control we feel
others are using on us. We can sometimes feel disconnected,
powerless and lonely, and so we complain, criticise, blame,
threaten, nag, punish or try to bribe others in order to try
to control them and feel that we still have some power, but
this just disconnects us further and our relationships suffer.
We can never truly control another and they can never truly
control you. Problems with relationships or a lack of them
causes our greatest emotional suffering. The Personal transformations
course aims to give the tools to improve relationships and
health, let go of negative emotions that hold us back, and
set goals to achieve our hearts desires.
The program
is based on the principals behind our life-coaching course.
All CD’s start with a progressive relaxation based on
relaxing the muscles of the body and calming the mind, this
allows the suggestions that follow to be accepted more readily,
all recording finish with suggestions to build self-esteem.
Listening without headphones will create the desired relaxation,
but most recordings are also overlaid with a brainwave
entrainment and synchronization soundtrack to entrain
and synchronize the brain waves to a level that makes the
recordings more powerful, headphones are required for this
to be effective. Enclosed is a booklet that encompasses a
goal setting workshop and details the therapeutic and life
transforming benefits of the other recordings. Although this
technology has proven safe over a number of years, it is not
recommended for people suffering from endogenous depression,
grand mal epilepsy, psychosis or schizophrenia, if in doubt,
consult your doctor for guidance. Not recommended with headphones
for children under 18 years of age. |
